For us, who always wanted to be doctors but couldn’t!
“I can totally see why this book would become best seller. It’s so well written, it’s interesting - it’s just perfect for those who enjoy all things medical related! It has action, suspense and thrill.”
A thoroughly gripping
techno-medical thriller
“I just finished Coded to Kill, by Marschall Runge, MD, and thoroughly enjoyed this gripping techno-medical thriller. Not only are the narrative, writing, and dialogue tight, realistic and spot-on, but the story had me effortlessly turning pages to find out what the heck was going to happen next. No spoilers, here! And the premise and topic couldn’t be more relevant in the age of big data and AI. This novel was not only highly entertaining, but incredibly timely and thought-provoking. I strongly recommend Coded to Kill and look forward to Runge’s next one.”
Captivating thriller casting electronic medical record as a potential villain
“A real gem in medical mystery filled with complex plots and surprises. Author is a renowned cardiologist and Dean of a great medical school. The story illustrated how electronic medical record can be abused to cause harm. Excellent character development with plenty of twist and turns as the plots unfold. Technological details were well researched and the clinical presentations are like real case studies. The book closes with a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that seems to compel the author to write this wonderful thriller.”
Great book
“I'm a sucker for medical dramas and this was the best. I like watching and reading medical dramas. I loved this book because it's not like the usual med-drama we are used to, it's filled with suspense and at some points even humor. I really enjoyed it!”
A terrific read
“I'm usually a slow reader, but I sailed through this book. It is intricately plotted with wonderful characters. In thriller fiction, writing can sometimes be clunky but "Coded To Kill" is one of those rare books that passes all expectations. I'd recommend it for book clubs and anyone else. I hope this author writes many more books and that this becomes a movie. I'd be first in line to buy tickets.”
Fully researched and totally persuasive from every angle
“Coded to Kill has a spooky sense of realism, from the way a hospital operates on the inside to the way that computer surveillance operates.”
A convoluted storyline that will leave you speechless
“Additionally, just when you believe that you have a firm grasp on the situation, Coded to Kill throws you for a loop, causing you to reevaluate everything that you had previously believed to be true.”
Every turn is a mystery
“The unexpected events that happened in the plot of the book made it hard for me to guess what would happen in the next chapters. I really enjoyed reading this book.”
Fast-paced, smart and important
“Through a deftly-plotted tale filled with a diverse cast of memorable characters, "Coded to Kill" uses the author's decades of medical experience to say some important things about technology, privacy and safety. As AI increasingly shapes society - and ransomware pirates take advantage of it to rob and control us - the novel offers grand entertainment along with a warning about our evolving world. Fun, scary and educational.”
A race against time
“A thrilling book to read since the stakes keep getting higher with each chapter. Coded to Kill is a fast-paced race against the clock.”
